SICK TO DEATH

Sick To Death is a 10 x 30 minute tragicomedy that follows the combustion of Chance (25, repressed, dying of boredom) and his mother Miriam (60’s, repressed, dying of cancer) and their co-dependent relationship.

When Chance discovers Miriam has been having a secret affair with Lala (55, a smile to come out for) he is shocked that his mum has the audacity to do anything other than be sick/pathetic. So Chance decides to reclaim the life he sacrificed to move home and care for her in the first place. Dragging all sorts of local characters into their orbit — siblings, lovers, exes, drug dealers — a twisted feud emerges between mother and son, who want to prove that they can have their cake (and deep throat it too).

Created and written by Thomas Wilson-White, Sick To Death is a co-production with Rhapsody Films and executive produced by Easy Tiger, developed with the support of Screen NSW and Screen Australia.
